The whims of a 10-year-old boy in Odessa, FL, come to life! My young friend hopes to become a pilot someday and while I needed to temper somewhat his expectations of graphic destruction, we came to a workable compromise.
His sister, of a more subdued nature, wished to dream about Paris. She and her family relax in this street cafe scene, as she serenades them with her cello. The family pets even make an appearance.
Add North Carolina to the list of states with an EFMD creation!
The wildlife-rich marshland of the coast emerges from a bold palette of color that echoes
the scene viewed from the
front windows on the
other side of the room.
One of several murals in this home, this one breaks through the living room wall to create
a view that is shared from a
different angle in the kitchen.
Members of the family and their pets make appearances in this scene as well.
The Time Customer Service building in Tampa, FL, now sports a vivid beach scene in the 12th floor breakroom.
Don't tell the people on the other floors or it will be
standing room only!

An empty-feeling kitchen nook
is transformed into an outdoor Venetian cafe. Many elements in this mural are actually on the wall. You must see this one in person to figure out which are real and which are painted!

The cathedrals and monasteries
of Europe are remembered
in this scene designed
from photographs of
a second honeymoon.
The passageway on the left is actually painted on the door
of this NYC apartment.

In Valrico, FL, the Italian family heritage is revisited through the "windows" overlooking a
Tuscan scene in the kitchen.
The rest of the room
was faux-painted to give it
a distressed old-Italian feel.

The climb up a narrow stairway
in Brattleboro, VT is rewarded
by a hidden woodland.
In the upper right, a window
blends into the branches
of the tree.
The light that shines through illuminates the top
of the waterfall magically.

A Lutz, FL home becomes
beach-front property
in this scene overlooking
a tranquil cove.
With the weather in
Florida lately, this is the
best kind of waterfront!

A master bath in Riverview, FL
is transformed into a Costa
Rican-style spa, with a trail
of roses climbing up the side
to create a
"Victorian jungle".

The impending birth of a baby boy inspired this rustic nursery scene. The mural encompasses all four walls of the room creating a serene trip to the lake with
the family dogs.

On a plain, portable bar cart in Odessa, FL, the colors of the pool are repeated to create an even more tropical scene.
The couple's little dogs wait patiently on the beach for their "parents" to finish snorkling.

The curved ceiling of the basement stairwell in this Victorian home
in the Chicago suburb of
Oak Park, IL, converts itself naturally into the rabbit hole
from the owner's favorite story,
"Alice in Wonderland".
Only when seen in person can it be fully experienced.

A 3-year-old "princess"
now sleeps beneath the
castle of her dreams.
Tinker Bell uses her wand to
add a touch of sparkling magic
to the scene.

Vacation in the Australian outback was so amazing that
this family wanted to relive it
in their living room
in Brandon, FL!

Tropical fish in Maine?
WHY NOT?!!
With a skylight providing natural light, this wild mesh of colors creates a fun getaway from the often inclement weather.
( Saves on airline tickets, too!)

A couple of simple palm trees
and a hint of seashore make
a Long Island, NY room
a little more fun.
This mural illustrates how
a few simple items can add
serenity and spaciousness
to even the smallest room.

The dining room of a stately home in Maryland now opens
onto the expansive vineyards
of Napa Valley.
A true trick of the eye, upon entering the room it makes one wonder what happened to the house next door!

Same house, different room!
Unofficially dubbed by the owner the "Starbucks" room, this stairway off the kitchen carries on where the wall leaves off into a whimsical cafe scene leading
into the room where the vineyard mural above resides.

This is a whole room transformation in Apollo Beach, FL., but the most interesting part is this corner, my first experiment with one that is coming toward the viewer. The cask coming out of the wall has a wood block attached to it that will allow for a wine tap to be inserted while keeping the correct angle.
